The Kitty Adventures: The Feline Universe

“The Feeling Universe?” Jellybean echoed. “What’s that?” The tom scowled. “The Feline Universe. A place where all felines go.” “Like heaven for cats?” Snow chimed in. “NO! Of course not. Just a place felines like to hang out a lot.” Snow nodded thoughtfully. “And why are you bringing us there?” Jellybean asked. “We have to bring you to our “Feline Queen.” The tom answered. OK, I’m not going to ask. Nope, not a single question. Snow thought. But Jellybean beat her to it. “The Feline Queen? What is that? And who is the Feline Queen?”

“You’ll speak of our queen respectfully!” The tom suddenly snarled. “Okay, okay. Sorry!” Jellybean apologized nervously. Not only were Jellybean and Snow outnumbered, they had no experience of fighting. So they didn’t want to provoke the fierce tom. “Come on.” One of the other cats, a calico, said. As Jellybean started to follow the tom, the calico whispered in her ear. “Sorry about Grey. He can be a bit harsh at first. But he’s not all bad!” Then she bounded off towards Grey.

Snow and Jellybean were led into a small clearing. There, something magically beautiful sat. It was a bright star with a rainbow tint to it. The star hummed with power. “Woah.” Snow whispered, awestruck. Grey smirked. “That’s the portal to The Feline Universe.” Although Snow wasn’t sure how exactly the star was going to bring them to this “Feline Universe”, but she kept on walking. Then, Grey walked straight into the star. Jellybean yelped. But instead of burning into a fiery crisp, he simply disappeared. “Go on.” The calico nudged her gently. Jellybean stepped into the star, and everything went black.

“J-Jellybean? JELLYBEAN! Come on, wake up!” Jellybean woke with a start. “Ugh. I don’t feel so good…” She groaned. Snow nudged her gently. “Come on. The others are waiting for us.” Jellybean groggily got to her feet and followed Snow. “About time.” Grey growled. “Come.”

Jellybean gasped. A whole galaxy stood before her. Different planets representing different felines floated. In the middle, just like the sun, sat a glowing purple planet. Grey led Snow and Jellybean toward it. With a start, Jellybean realized that they were walking on a glass path, with no sides. “Is this safe?” She asked Grey. “If you’re truly a cat, yes.” He replied. Jellybean shivered at the thought of what waited ahead. She wondered if escaping from The Claw had been a good idea. Only one way to find out, Jellybean thought. She trudged along the path, towards her unknown faith.
